What data I collect, and why
Contact form
When you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, an optional subject, and your message. This data is used solely to read and respond to your inquiry. It is delivered to my mailbox as an email (via the email service Resend) and is not stored in a database on this website. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to inquiries, and where your message concerns a potential assignment, taking steps prior to entering into a contract.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I store your email address with the email service Resend in order to send you updates. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email, after which your address is removed from the list.
Analytics
This website may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics cookies are only set in accordance with your cookie preferences — see the Cookie Policy for exactly what is stored and how to opt out. Legal basis: your consent.
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Vercel. Like any hosting provider, Vercel processes technical data (such as IP addresses and browser information) in server logs to deliver the website securely and reliably. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
Who receives your data
I share personal data only with the service providers (processors) needed to run this website and my business:
- Vercel — website hosting
- Resend — delivery of contact form messages and the newsletter
- Google — analytics, only if you consent to analytics cookies
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this happens under appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. I never sell personal data or share it for advertising purposes.
How long I keep your data
- Correspondence (contact form messages and email) is kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry and our working relationship.
- Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Financial records (quotes, invoices and related client data) are kept for seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (in the Netherlands: the AVG), you have the right to:
- access the personal data I hold about you;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to the processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

Security
All traffic to this website is encrypted (HTTPS), and I deliberately collect as little personal data as possible — data that is never collected can never leak.

I may update this policy from time to time, for example when the website or the services I use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
